Leisure morning and afternoon excursion to Oranjezicht City Farm Market and Bo-Kaap Cooking Experience followed by lunch (U$105)
Immerse yourself in the sights, scents, and rich history of Cape Town with an excursion designed to showcase the Mother City’s diverse community and culinary heritage. This day is all about connection, local flavor, and hands-on discovery. We begin our day at the celebrated Oranjezicht City Farm Market, a vibrant community hub located in historic Granger Bay. Take a leisurely stroll through the bustling marquee, where you can sample artisanal treats, pick up locally made crafts, and enjoy a premium coffee while taking in the ocean breeze. It is the ultimate way to experience Cape Town’s modern, sustainable food culture and mingle with locals.
From the market, we journey into the heart of the historic Bo-Kaap, famous for its brightly colored houses, cobblestone streets, and deep-rooted Cape Malay culture. Guided by an expert local host, you will step inside a traditional home for an authentic, interactive cooking masterclass. You will learn the secrets behind blending aromatic spices to fold the perfect samosa, mix a fragrant Cape Malay curry, and fry up golden koesisters (a spiced, coconut-dusted local delicacy). After crafting your dishes, sit down with fellow delegates to enjoy a hearty, multi-course lunch featuring the very food you just prepared

Prepare for an unforgettable sensory journey as we gather for our group dinner and evening social event at the renowned GOLD Restaurant. This is not just a dinner—it is an immersive, high-energy celebration of African hospitality, music, and tradition right in the heart of Cape Town.
Our evening kicks off with a powerful, interactive djembe drumming masterclass. Guided by master facilitators, each delegate will be given their own drum to join in the collective rhythm. Following the drumming session, the energy continues to rise with live, theatrical performances. Be mesmerized by traditional singers, dancers in vibrant costumes, and captivating stilt walkers performing right at our tables.
As the rhythms settle, we will indulge in a spectacular Cape Malay and Pan-African safari feast. Served in generous, communal sharing styles at our tables, the menu takes you on a culinary roadmap across the continent—from the fragrant spices of North Africa to the hearty, traditional flavors of the south…

Leisure excursion to Cape Winelands for delegates and partners (full day social event). Includes a light heritage walk through Stellenbosch, visit to an art museum, wine tasting experience and lunch on a wine farm in the Winelands (U$185)
Escape the city for a day of leisure in the historic Cape Winelands. Just a short drive from Cape Town, this excursion offers delegates a sophisticated blend of heritage, world-class South African fine art, and premium boutique wine tasting in a breathtaking mountain valley setting.
We begin our morning in the heart of South Africa’s second-oldest town, Stellenbosch, where our host, HVM’s office is located. Stroll beneath avenues of historic oaks as a local guide shares the stories behind the beautifully preserved Cape Dutch, Georgian, and Victorian architecture. It’s a peaceful, photogenic introduction to the region’s deep cultural roots.
Next, we transition from historic streets to modern masterpieces. The Rupert Museum houses a premier private collection of 20th-century South African art. Delegates will explore vibrant galleries featuring world-renowned artists like Pierneef, Irma Stern, and Maggie Laubser, all set within a stunning architectural space along the Eerste River.
We conclude our day on the slopes of the Helderberg mountains at the hidden gem, Peter Falke Wines. Known for its chic, contemporary outdoor lounge and rolling green lawns, this boutique estate is the ultimate setting to unwind. We will enjoy a tutored tasting of their signature, award-winning varietals followed by a relaxed, sun-drenched lunch showcasing seasonal local produce.

GMNI Conference Day 1 at Commodore Hotel (full day) - $180 per person
Discover the dramatic landscapes, iconic wildlife, and world-renowned botanical beauty that make Cape Town one of the most unique destinations on earth. This full-day leisure excursion takes you along spectacular coastal routes, offering a perfect balance of coastal history, close-up wildlife encounters, and serene natural wonder.
Our day begins along the False Bay coastline in the historic naval enclave of Simon’s Town. Steeped in maritime lore, this charming town features beautifully preserved Victorian architecture, quaint shops, and a rich naval heritage stretching back over two centuries. Delegates will enjoy a leisurely stroll along the historic “Mile,” taking in the coastal views and local atmosphere.
Next, we visit the world-famous Boulders Beach, home to a rare, land-based colony of land-dwelling African Penguins. Walking along the specially constructed wooden boardwalks, you will get an intimate, up-close view of these charming birds nesting in their natural habitat. For lunch, we pause in Simon’s Town at a premier harbor-front restaurant to indulge in a classic South African seafood feast.
We conclude our Peninsula journey on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain at Kirstenbosch, universally acclaimed as one of the great botanical gardens of the world. An expert local guide will lead us through this UNESCO World Heritage site, showcasing the spectacular and unique biodiversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom. A highlight of the walk includes a stroll across the famous Boomslang (Tree Canopy Walkway), offering panoramic views over the gardens and the city flats beyond.

We begin our morning at Babylonstoren, one of the oldest and most beautifully preserved Cape Dutch farms in the region. Dating back to 1692, the estate features a magnificent, 8-acre formal fruit and vegetable garden that is a sensory marvel. Delegates will take a leisurely, guided stroll through the geometric waterways, learning about the farm’s unique biodiversity, historical structures, and sustainable farming philosophy. After working up an appetite, we will enjoy a fresh, vibrant lunch showcasing seasonal, farm-to-fork ingredients sourced directly from the surrounding soil.
In the afternoon, we head into historic Paarl to visit the world-renowned KWV Emporium. As a cornerstone of South Africa’s winemaking history, KWV offers an exceptional, expert-led sensory tasting masterclass. We will indulge in one of KWV’s award-winning wine and artisan pairings.
